personally i feel that with records so spread out and difficult to find any avenue, myspace, facebook, the chats, are a good idea. i am looking for information on my great great grandparents who were in elbing prior and again during ww2 and i try to check every available posting to see if anyone has any info.

If I recall correctly Elbing had about 75,000 residents until the population swelled late in the war. It's like the population of a province or state vs that of one city. Big difference.
