My grandfather was a gardener. I have called so many places with
archives in both Poland, Elblag and also in Koln Germany.
Everyone has been nice but the leads I am getting to where copies or
any citizenship proof of Germans in Elbing from 1920-1930, any kind of
German record is so difficult to get.

IF anyone can help that would be great. I have tried so many places
and welcome the chance to hire a professional.

I was told the following to help others;

a) Politisches Archiv des Auswärtigen Amtes , 10117 Berlin, Kurstr. 33

c) Polnisches Staatsarchiv in Danzig –

PL-80-958 Gdansk Telefon: 00 48/ 58/ 31 74 63 Internet:

d) Staatsarchiv in Elblag / Sitz Malbork

I have tried them all but still no luck...I have a copy of grandma's
passport and it was issued in the same place as grandad's but finding
it impossible to get any sort of certification for his proof of German
citizenship.

Thank you and please contact me at; [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you can help.
