Hi,
I had a brief look into the u-boot_2013.07.bb situation. Unfortunately I didn't
have time to (re-)test this solution, but I already ran it and thus my
explanation here.
As I started working on it I kept a u-boot_2013.07.bb and a u-boot_2013.03.bb
(AFAIR). The latter one, dropped away, probably this was a misunderstanding. To
make it a default for the other recipes again, just add the u-boot_2013.03.bb,
and add the following line to
<repo>/meta-eldk/recipes-bsp/uboot/u-boot_2013.07.bb:
DEFAULT_PREFERENCE = "-1"
That's it. It masks the 2013.07 for default use (means "latest-greatest"),
since any other recipe should have DEFAULT_PREFERENCE superior to "-1" by
default. M28EVK and M53EVK take the specific version, because they already
declare it in their machine conf:
PREFERRED_VERSION_u-boot =
"v2013.07+gitAUTOINC+68c517eafcb060aa8ef92ed2620f0f41c5275d89"
PREFERRED_VERSION_u-boot-mkimage =
"v2013.07+gitAUTOINC+68c517eafcb060aa8ef92ed2620f0f41c5275d89"
So this was already prepared, but probably taken out, again.
NOTE: As I mentioned, I did not test this approach now. Just a hint, from what
I remember having tried at yocto :)
