It is a design feature that the ELDK installation is relocatable, so in my book it is a bug if it isn't. On the other hand it usually is not worth investing a lot of time into something which is easily worked around and very likely changes in future versions again. So I think the best place would be to note that in the "FAQ" section in our wiki[1] and that's what I'll do.
