The Dremel tool does work great...The #428 or #442 wire brush wheels are the best, they remove the anodize coating quickly and cleanly without the gouging and fine metallic dust that a grinding wheel produces...We certainly don't want fine metallic particles around an electronics workbench...Just run the Dremel slowly so it doesn't "skate" and take off the coating where we don't want it to...
