Hi Rolf:

I have noticed a similar thing for the past several years.

I think what I'm receiving as 'noise' really might be either AM or FM broadcast though... as it seems to have some small amount of modulation to it.

So far I have not been able to determine the cause OR the solution to the problem... but it definitely IS there.
