Hi, Firstly, thanks to everyone for their help. I have now completed, aligned and briefly tested 4039 on 20M.
During the course of this final alignment I worked through the set up procedure for the band pass filters again, using the small broadband noise generator I have built (Thanks N0SS). But I just did not seem to get the same easy "peaks" esp. on the lower bands, that I did when I first aligned it on 40m etc as an RX only (Prior to fitting the SSB board, TX, etc).
