I finally did it and put a 330 in place of the 220 for R30. It made all the difference. I can not get 2W on internal battery. My only concern is that on external gel cell power I sometimes get max power of between 4 and 5 W Is this too much power for the power transistor to handle? I could trim it back, but then i would have to trim it ahead every time I use internal batteries and I know that trimmer does not have the turns life of a proper pot.
