Howdy Folks,
The Elecraft CW Net will be moved down from its normal frequency due to Hurricane(?) Frances. I am unsure whether Frances is still a hurricane or not since it has been downgraded so many times over the last few days. I know there is a stiff wind still associated with it but mosly tons of rain.

Luckily Hurricane Howard is now just a tropical depression and is now longer effecting our weather in Oregon. It is warming back up again so I can do my antenna work and get ready for winter which is just around the corner. Sunny and warm today as we clean the stove and chimney. The wood cutting, splitting, collecting, and stacking is about half done.

It looks like the Southern US and the Antilles are due for another much stronger storm in Hurricane Ivan. It is setting records for the highest wind at the lowest latitude. I don't know when it will come into the US waters but it looks like it will be bigger than Charlie, Howard, or Frances.

I will listen on 14050 kHz then move down until I find an open spot. Please scan down and you will find me or another NCS on ECN/1.

Kevin,

I thought you should know-----

The Hurricane Francis NREN (National Radio Emergency Network)
CW net has been activated and has been designated to use 14.050
Mhz !!

The Hurricane net itself is on 14.325 USB.

The SATERN (Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network) is
on 14.265 Mhz USB.

You might want to re-think the ecn CW frequency for this weekend
:-\
