Hi If you are getting a OL display on your meter and you are in autoranging or on a range that can measure greater than the resistance called out in the manual then you are OK.

My question is that I am using a Fluke 87IV and when I check the remaining pins with supposedly values >50k or >1M I get a OL , over limit indication on the instrument. Is this OK ....should I be getting some sort of value in excess of the stated resistances?
