I was asked to re-post some Amp/Tyco cross reference information for the contact sockets used in the Weller soldering iron handles (using the EC234 heater assembly - EC1201 & TC201P / T irons).
The contact socket pins crimp to the lead wires and are inserted into the black plastic assembly at the top of the handle. This AMP/Tyco connector assembly is also used with other soldering stations (iron plugs for Weller EC series and Pace soldering / desoldering stations and irons). I have not closely examined a Haako station (e.g. 936) to see what connector series they are currently using. I purchased mine several years ago at a much cheaper price (Mouser?) A bobbie pin is suggested as an economical alternative (even in the Weller Tech Notes).
