Howdy All, I was thinking on the weekend that it may be possible to take the KXAT1 out of the KX1 and mount it on my house facia board (edge of roof).
This way I could tie the counterpoise to the side of the house (or run it along the facia). The 24 foot radiating section could go up at approx 45 deg. to a nearby tree. This would mean all radiation occurred high up. I would need to run about 50 feet of co-ax and a shielded control cable for 6V Vcc, Gnd, VFWD back to KX1 and Control. Has anyone done this? does it sound do-able? Thanks for any input.
