I am using my k2 #644 for more than 4 years without any particular problem I was using an old 100 MHZ laptop with Logger and all was running OK
Yesterday I changed it to a 400 MHZ P2 laptop ; I was able able to run Logger with my K2 for some hours, and later logger stopped to receive K2 data (frequency and mode); I check on another PC that the RS232 line is always OK and the softwares using the RS232 are working ... Same story with MIXW and K2 REMOTE. The COM1 port on the laptop seems OK : -12V on TX and RX line, and shows some activity (I don t check yet on my scope) Any ideas ?
