FYI and FWIW - I use the Heil ProSet Plus! with my Orion. I ordered the "on sale" Heil Elecraft MD2 thinking it came with the adaptor for the 8 pin mic connector so I could use my ProSet Plus! with both rigs and get a spare mike for only $15 more....wrong! The 8 pin connector is soldered onto the cable of the MD2. So if anyone else ordered an MD2 with the thought of doing the same thing they will be disappointed.
I ordered the adaptor from Heil for $20. I then plugged the ProSet Plus! into the K2 and .... I see no difference between the output of my MD2 and the ProSet Plus! with either mike element selected...no mods needed in my K2 (good news!).
