My current antenna cost me $7.00. 125 feet of speaker wire split in half and 100 foot roll of low loss TV twinlead. It has been up there for about 5 years.

Actually I think the ones that I've made are pretty darn good. And much more economical - find 102' of wire, a couple of short pieces of 1/2" PVC for the insulators, 28' 300 ohm twin lead from Radio Shack -or where ever - and some coax. And some good black tape! The dimensions are from http://www.g3ycc.karoo.net/g5rv.htm and work pretty darn well! I've seen G5RV kits for around $33 from the Wireman. He even throws in 100 ft of rope. The Wireman has good stuff if you can't find all the parts in your shack or in any of the local hams shacks! 73 Hank K8DD And Happy Holidays to all the Elecraft Reflectorites!
