Being in a semi-rural environment, I find that I don't have too many times when the KNB2 is needed. When the occasion does occur, it seems to no less effective than the noise blanker on my TS-570D. Although it is designed for a different noise characteristic, I find that the noise reduction of the KDSP2 is much more effective than that of the TS-570D.
