My I suggest you look at the main Elecraft website www.elecraft.com and
go to the Tech Note Articles and then see the article by Dave White
VE6DRW re: "SP2 Companion External Speaker for the Elecraft K2".
Download Dave's article and seriously consider duplicating his external
speaker. As one of the Product reviewers I can highly recommend this
speaker/amplifier. Although I have not yet duplicated this speaker it is
definetly going to be one of my future projects. I have a hearing
impairment and this speaker works wonders for me.
Currently I am using a Motorola unamplified extension speaker. It's
better than the 3 incher in the K2 but not ideal. I do not have a
problem with the sound volume however, I find the K2 produces plenty of
volume for my needs.
