KX1 kit s/n 1005 has arrived! I ordered it with the KXAT1 and KXB30 options. Isn't it cool opening the shipping box and going through new Elecraft kits? This will be the 4th Elecraft rig that I've built. I do have a couple of questions: 1. Does the silkscreening on the front panel hold up well to portable use? 2. Has anyone applied a clear protective coat of sorts to the front panel to protect the silkscreening?
