Chris, Just a wild guess, but you may want to check the cable between the K2 and the computer - make certain the cable shield is connected at the K2 end and is NOT connected at the computer end - if the shield is connected at both ends, you can get some induced currents on the cable, but I don't know how it might be coupled into the K2 audio.
