I am still on the fence on doing the wider SSB mode. Has anybody done it and noticed such a great improvement? I have had many QSO's. Nobody ever complained my audio was too thin or whatever. Also would one have to change the MCU to get accurate SSB bandwidth indication? IMHO having Narrow 2.2khz on TX can be of advantage, if one builds their own RF speech proc. I will publish it after I am done. Many of the RF procs in Kenwoods, simply add extra amplificaton, then clip.
