I believe that most of the pick-up/delivery folks at DHL are in fact
independent contractors, usually smaller local courier companies.  I
know it was true a couple of years ago -- might be different now but I
really doubt it.  This could account for the WM-2 in the snow bank and
other foolish delivery problems.  I'm not sure what accounts for the
screwups at the central distribution points.

I gave up on DHL long ago. I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills (~1,700
ft) where it rarely snows, and they still couldn't get it right.  USPS,
UPS, or FedX are the only ways to go.
