G'day, #1400 (100W) accidentally found itself in a run situation in the ARRL DX SSB contest on 10 metres. Anyway, buzzing along at about 120/hour according to the logging program and a couple of complimentary comments about the audio quality (late model KSB2 and Kenwood MC-42S mic). I was stopped in my tracks momentarily when I was told I sounded like Roger Daltry! Is this good? Apparently it was meant as a compliment and I therefore took it as one.
By the way, the 120/hour was certainly aided significantly by the very good behaviour of the pile up. Even through a brief phone call (thought it might have been a TVI complaint) and my wrinkly P75 logging laptop wheezing a tad under the load.
