In the "Your mileage may vary" category.

I have found 2 advantages, for me, with the group method:

1. Working in groups I have found that the position I want to fill already
occupied by another component of the same group.

2. I can solder leads in a spaced pattern so that I do not heat the leads of a
single component in sequence thereby spreading the heat out allowing some
cooling between solder joints.

As far as the "Missed solder joint" category.

My method is to inspect each joint before clipping the lead. I often find one
that I am not happy with so I do not clip it until I rework it.

I had to mention these things because they are exactly he opposite of what some
find works for them and for the same reasons. This is proof that everybody
must find their own methodology.

73 to all,
Fran
