I suppose it had to happen sometime.

I've been testing some K2 software which operates the rig on tx and using it with a dummy load which is a very old ethernet 50 ohm bnc terminator. It got a little warm at 1 watt, but I inadvertantly ran it overnight at 10 watts.

This morning, the dummy load seems to have gone open circuit and melted the BNC connector internal insulation.

Amazingly the rig and the BNC connector still works, but my embarassment is greater than my parsimony and I'm going to have to change the connecton.

Are there any sources in the UK for the BNC type connector that goes on the KAT2 - eg with the black plastic threaded skirt?

Thanks

Tony
