i dont need CW. So i think, i should change the keyerpotentiometer for a mike gain control. my question: is this possible and in which place i can build it? i think, it is possible at the plusside from C34 at the KSB2 SSB adapter. what do anybody thinking about this?

It certainly is possible, but I would wonder why. The K2 has an automatic gain control for SSB. So long as you have sufficient audio from the mike, you shouldn't need to adjust anything.

The other detriment is that you'd have to wire from the front panel board to the SSB board. I'd worry about signals you might pick up on the way introducing hum or other distortions.

PS - I'm posting this to the Elecraft reflector, but I doubt it will go through. The reflector is using SORBS to block spammers, who has decided that all of BellSouth.net is a spam domain.
