Only the K3 setup program (the installer) needs to be run as an administrator. Like many installation programs, the program files are installed in the Program Files folder, which is shared across all users.
Once the K3 Utility is installed, administrative privileges are NOT required to use the K3 Utility program. Dick, K6KR -----Original Message----- > The solution for this is to right-click on the program and select "Run as administrator". Windows 7 has tighter security than good old Windows XP. The OS won't let just anybody create directories. Almost anytime you run an install program it is wise to run it as Administrator.
