Gave up trying to get the big computer (Vista) to talk thru COM Ports. It just won't find one.....So went to my old Laptop w/Vista and it picked up Com3, said it was communicating so I clicked on "Send All New Firmware to K3". It says "Sending firmware file hmcu0405.hex to MCU"...... That was half hour ago....Still just nothing happening. Should my K3 be on or off for this? Think I only did this once before when I built it years ago. P3 is on the way and I'm told I have to upgrade the firmware.
