Sam, You understand it correctly; TX or TX/RX antennas on ANT1 and ANT2, a RX only antenna on RX ANT IN. Selection of ANT1 and ANT2 by the front panel ANT switch, and enabling of the RX antenna by the front panel RX ANT switch. The K3 does the rest.
