Perhaps this is not as off-topic as it appears! I would like to add my viewpoint to those who condemn Norton's various utilities...I concur in their assessment whole-heartedly. The various Norton AV programs are known to steal as much as 25% in the way of clock cycles, as well as being inflexible and obdurate to a fault. I believe they should be avoided at all costs, particularly when one is using the computer in real-time radio control applications. I have used Zone Alarm and AVG for many years without problem. When new computers are delivered to me running Norton, it is the first to go. [My computer experience extends back to IBM-650 days and forward to WIN 7 (64 bit) days.]
