Chris, I bought my adapter, which is an FTDI UC232R-10, from Mouser for under $20. It was truly plug and play on Windows XP for this old man, who had tried several others with NO success. It works with the K3, P3 and other things I have here, but I have not tried any logging programs like mentioned on here. Mouser is out of stock right now, but shows them on order. 73, Don, WB5HAK
