I have the Heil Pro Elite HC6 (not the Pro iC) and it works great with the K3. I've adjusted the TX equalizer to make it sound almost like the Heil Goldline and set another TX equalizer setting to make it sound like an HC5. The Pro Elite uses the same adapter as the the other Heil boomsets that don't need bias (the Kenwood adapter).
The HC6 has a very wide response curve and I needed to adjust the first three equalizer bands way down or it sounded very muddy. I also boosted the highs to add some presence but that may depend on your voice.
