I finally have the buddipole parts from the estate of KI4NGL sorted out. Roger used these outside as permanent installations, so there is some evidence of weathering and color fading. He also put some coax seal over the connections, so there is a bit of residue left, and he tightened the connections with tools, so there are a few tool marks on the tubes. Due to the way the coax was strung through small holes, I had to cut the coax to remove the antennas. 20-20 hindsight tells me I should have cut at the shack end and pulled the wire through without the BNC connector, but in my haste, I cut the coax about 5 feet from the balun assembly. The coax is usable if you add connectors at the cut or splice the coax in some other manner, but you can always order a new coax assembly from Buddipole.
I have 2 antenna configuration. The first, I would call an Extended Buddipole Dipole. It has a Versatee (with a painter's pole adapter and a counterpoise wire adapter), 2 stainless steel telescoping whips, 4 tubular antenna arms, 2 coils, a counterpoise wire, 2 extra coil taps, a rotating arm kit, the coax assembly (with cut coax), the roll-up bag and the black thermoplastic carry case. The new price for these pieces is $284 minus $25 allowance for the cut coax makes this a $259 value when new. I am looking for offers over $100 for this combination of buddipole parts which make the longer, more efficient antenna than the standard buddipole. The other is a vertical consisting of buddipole parts. It has a Versatee (with a painter's pole adapter), the long (9.5 ft.) telescopic whip, 2 pieces of tubular mast sections, one coil with one extra tap, a counterpoise wire and counterpoise wire adapter. The price for these parts new would exceed $125. I am looking for offers over $50 for this combination of buddipole parts. I will accumulate offers until the morning of Sept 9 (2 1/2 days) and notify the high bidder. I estimate that shipping will be $15 to $20 because the length will be greater than 12 inches. I will ship USPS Priority Mail. 73, Don W3FPR ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
