Carl, If you look closely at the 3 terminal regulator that is U2, you will see that what you read as "78 MOSCT" is actually "78 M05" which is a proper 5 volt regulator - use it at U2.
You should have a 28 pin DIP with a piece of paper on the top with the KDSP2 firmware level.
