I am surprised, and somewhat disillusioned to hear ‘questioning voices’ along the lines of modifying the K2 radio design! I do believe there is even a portion of the company’s main page where they recommend the radio, just because SINCE YOU BUILT IT, you will be well acquainted to improve upon its design! Anyone that has ever designed any circuit device knows that there is always Revision A, Revision B, revision C etc. This is true of simple “DC” circuits, and is more likely with “AC” circuits. Besides, it has already come to the fore that there are certain design deficiencies! I don’t fault the manufacturers for this, its simply bound to happen! So, fire up the soldering irons guys. Make your design modifications, and document them! That’s why you got a Ham license right, so as to get into the nitty gritty of electronics and radio science? ……………………………… ......................................................................................................
