Lew, You could make a recording of the monitor output from the K3 and determine for yourself if it sounds good or bad. I would suggest that is better than reports from others who are not familiar with your voice. If you are not familiar with how your own voice sounds, then ask the XYL or some other family member to listen to the recording.
I have successfully used that technique (XYL evaluating) to choose among microphone choices for the K3.
