Hi Craig, The peak hold has an "infinite" hold time so it shows the biggest peak since it was first enabled. One of the items "on the list" is a "peak-sag" mode where the peak value will not hold indefinitely but will gradually sag down so that if strong signals go away, it will reset eventually.
