I finally got to try my P3/K3/XV-144 out in the EME "contest" this past weekend. To my amazement, I could actually see the WSJT tones off the moon for the stronger stations. Most of the time I couldn't, of course, but the P3 was very useful for spotting QRM and birdies when hunting around for a clear QRG.
If I were able to play with the contrast of the waterfall, along with REF LVL settings, the P3 might be even better for weak signal work.
