A new "alpha" version of the Elecraft K3 Utility is available on our FTP site for those that wish to test the K3 Utility's Terminal page with their P3.
See ftp://ftp.elecraft.com/tmp/K3/K3UTIL/K3_Utility_Setup_1_3_10_14.exe Previous versions of the K3 Utility used a "text to terminal" function of the K3 that delivered individual characters as they arrived. This technique didn't work through the P3 panadaptor. I've changed the K3 Utility to use a new K3 MCU firmware version 3.89 function (called "text buffer") that works through an inline P3 (and it appears to be a little smoother as well). K3 MCU firmware 3.89 or later is required to use the Terminal Page. The K3 Utility no longer supports for the older Text-to-Terminal technique. I've not added any new user-visible function to the K3 Terminal Page, this was enough change for a given version. I have a couple of feature requests that might be added later. I need to get this part working well first. I'd appreciate direct feedback (sent to dick at elecraft dot com).
