Good Evening,
The loggers awoke me once again at O dark thirty. But I was able to get back to sleep easily since they are no longer creating as much noise. It was the flicker of their headlights traveling to their work at 3:30 AM which caused me to awaken. They are currently sorting and stacking the logs. In a few days the real noise begins: the log trucks. Hopefully they will not use their jake brakes as they pass the house. Normally the foreman is sensitive to my location and does not want to drive me insane. But even without the compression release exhaust noise they are pretty loud. Makes my house shake :) The weather was perfect today for collecting wood. I have gathered almost all of the wood I have cut and split over the summer so soon I will need stop being so lazy and cut more. The only thing which will stop me is when the road gets too muddy for my truck to dig its way out. But I think four more truck loads will make me happy enough to quit. That does not mean I will quit cutting and splitting I'll just leave it in the woods for next year. The exercise is good for me. With temperatures in the low 50s it was just right for working outside and not getting soaked. I had little chance to test propagation this week due to my altered schedule. I sleep when I can find a quiet time in the day and often that means early evening or late afternoon when the loggers go home. They normally work from 3 to 3 so the quiet comes back in the middle of my day. Next week I will get back to trying 20 meters in the morning and 20, 40, and 80 in the evenings. Hopefully 20 and 40 will be good for tomorrow.

Please join us tomorrow afternoon and evening.
