You could do that if you connected the PTT button of the mic to the
"KEY" input on the back of the K3, I suppose, but not otherwise
(AFAIK).

There is a TUNE function on the K3 - "hold" the "XMIT" button to start
tune, and tap it to stop. You configure this for either [nor]mal power
out, or a preset tuning power level via CONFIG:TUN-PWR.

Personally, I keep a spare footswitch connected to the KEY input, and
use that for amp tune-up at full drive power, and the TUNE function
for a low-power antenna-tuning signal.
