Rich, Have you tried reducing the VOX sensitivity (MAIN:VOX GN)? The output from your sound card in digital modes should be high enough to give you 4-5 bars on the K3's ALC meter, which should leave you with plenty of headroom to set the VOX sensitivity below the digital audio and above the sound card's noise level.
Could it be Windows sounds that are triggering the VOX? If so, you need to disable them. If the VOX is triggering with no output from your digital mode software and no Windows sounds, perhaps it is triggering on noise from the microphone. Can you disable the sound card's microphone input when you are using digital modes? Or, if that is not feasible, can you reduce the sound card's microphone input level enough to avoid spurious triggering while still leaving the wav input high enough to give you the desired 4-5 bars of ALC meter reading in digital modes? If none of these suggestions work, perhaps you will need to consider using PTT. 73, Rich VE3KI W3ACO wrote: > I seem to have a problem setting up my K3 for PSK and RTTY.
