This problem popped up on my K3 after installing the dsp filter upgrade a few months ago. I went over the dsp board connections to no avail. Today, I installed the KDVR and plugging the headphones in the jack no longer makes the S-meter go up so I assume it was a connection somewhere on the front panel.
