Worse, cords& cables have CONNECTORS on the end of them. Electronic systems consist of cheap, reliable chips on cheap, reliable cards, interconnected by EXPENSIVE, UNRELIABLE, FLAKY cables and connectors. The fewer of them, the better, I say.
