I experienced a "tightness" at one place during the VFO A rotation. Removing the knob and repositioning the felt washer did not fix it. I removed the felt washer, the three screws holding the clear plastic plate, two VFO shaft nuts, carefully shifted the shaft of the encoder to make sure it was exactly perpendicular to the front panel and replaced everything. This cured the "tight spot" in my VFO A rotation.
