On November 24, 2010 while tuning around on the low end of 80 Meter , I heard a
CW pileup, around 6 or 8 stations calling at the same time. When the calling
stopped I heard
A faint signal calling CQ CQ , He was a bit off frequency so I pushed the auto
spot button and zeroed in on him. I copied his call ( TC3WFF – Turkey ) I gave
my call one time and he came back with K5D ? , So I sent my call two more times
and he came back with my correct call. We made our exchange and said 73.
At that moment I realized that I had bagged a Turkey on the EVE of Thanksgiving.
And all was well.
