Mike, There seem to be two solutions - "Y" cables and the breakout board which has terminal strips. Here's what I had on it some time ago.

The Winford BRKSD15HDM-C is $17.00. Winford have recently added a board with one male DB15HD, one female DB15HD, a 16 position terminal strip and five solder connection holes per line to their product mix: http://www.winfordeng.com/products/brk15hdmf.php BRK15HDMF-S-FT (with mounting feet) is $22.00. By way, both Cable Wholesale and Altex list Falklands in their shipping calculators.
