Hello Wayne,

Thanks for your clarification and quick update on your FAQ.

May I suggest you clearly state the 10 seconds per memory in the product /
sales
information (e.g. manual) of the KDVR3 in addition to your latest FAQ?

I was not sure whether I had been oversight as I could not find this
information
among your official documents when I placed my order.  I bought the KDVR3 for
my recent K3 purely based on my previous knowledge of K3#46 which KDVR3 gave
a 50% longer recording time per message M1-M4.

Clearly, the K3#46 was ordered long time ago when I was required to pay a 50%
upfront deposit.

I fully appreciate the usual manufacturer's caveat of 'specification changes
without notice'. However, I trust you are working towards the direction of an
'informed' customer.

Please be assured that it is neither a complaint from me nor my request for
refund (actually NOT practical for an overseas user like myself).  It is merely
a piece of warm customer's suggestion.

Seasons greetings if I do not communicate with you before Christmas !!!

 cheers,

Johnny Siu

主題: Re: [Elecraft] KDVR3

We use various flash memory ICs for the DVR, depending on
availability. The target spec is 10 seconds per memory, and this is
what is currently shipping. Some earlier DVRs do have a larger part
that gives 15 seconds per memory, but we have not been able to get
that part reliably. We'll increase it to 15 seconds again when and if
we find a consistent supply of the part, and we'll you know when it
happens.

The FAQ has been updated.
