I'd buy in a heartbeat as well - But, from their (Elecraft's) standpoint: Why would they want to dilute their ownership and make themselves subject to all of the additional scrutiny and hassles that go with being a public company?
And, why would we (customers) want them to potentially screw up a good thing?
