Mike, wasn't it Winston Churchill who described dangling prepositions as something "up with which I will not put"?
To be serious for a moment, there are some verbs in which the addition of the preposition results in quite a different meaning - put up versus put up with is a good example. I would prefer to call these compound verbs and make an exception for them. 73, Pete N4ZR The World Contest Station Database, updated daily at www.conteststations.com The Reverse Beacon Network at http://reversebeacon.net, blog at reversebeacon.blogspot.com, spots at telnet.reversebeacon.net, port 7000 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
