I agree that the K3 user documentation is pretty amateurish, but it's vastly better than, say, the SteppIR documentation. On the other hand, the K3 assembly instructions are outstanding. Writing good technical manuals is MUCH harder than most people realize and often gets short shrift by manufacturers.
I'd like to see a K3 service manual, or at least a comprehensive circuit description. Without some explanation, the downloaded schematics are pretty worthless to somebody trying to understand the radio. In particular, the published K3 block diagram is an exercise in obscurity.
